Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also had them long enough that I understand how they really perform, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll see broken down further.

Where were you able to get your pair?
I found mine on discount via Cettire and bought them that way!
I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were shipped to me by the 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast .
What’s the going rate?
When I bought my pair in spring, I paid around $385, but their standard price is $513.91.
Golden Goose goose sneakers sneakers typically range from $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how decked out they are.
Are they true to size?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair.
Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.
Are they comfortable?
Honestly, they feel great, and only took a few hours to break in..
How durable are they?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the structure feels strong. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They include a built-in arch bump that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the glitter on mine? Stunning.
Would you recommend them?
Totally! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re expensive, so getting them discounted is smarter. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you find a style that suits you. I went bold with sparkle, but a minimalist version would also be smart.

Are they true to size?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36. They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up a size
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good right away. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since my feet get sweaty. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in fake leather. Also, they’re already broken-in so your feet just get comfortable fast.
How durable are they?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched.
Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
